FAQs

Pickleball

Do I need any prior experience?

No! This course is designed for complete beginners who want to learn the basics of pickleball in a friendly and supportive environment.

I’m not very fit – can I still play pickleball?

Yes, you can! Pickleball is perfect for beginners and players of all fitness levels. It’s a low-impact sport with a smaller court, so there’s less running involved compared to other racket sports. Plus, we make sure the sessions are paced to suit everyone, so you’ll feel comfortable while learning and having fun.

What age is this course suitable for?

Pickleball is a sport for all ages. It’s low-impact, easy on the joints, and great for staying active.

What happens after the course?

After completing the course, you’ll have the skills to start playing in our fun and inclusive social sessions. If you’re interested in further coaching, we offer additional clinics, group lessons, or private focus groups to help you progress further.

How much is the course?

Our course is £45 for 3 x 1.5 hour sessions

I can’t make the dates, but I am still interested

That’s no problem, just complete the form and we will get in touch to let you know about any upcoming courses.

Do you run any courses on weekends or in the evenings?

Not at the moment, but we are always looking to add more sessions!

Tennis

What am I committing to when I sign up for the trial?

No long-term committments. Not during the trial and not ever. The idea of charging people money when they’re not sure if they want to be a part of our programme sits very uncomfortably with us. We want members to stay with us because they love our sessions, not because we’ve tied them to a long term contract. The only thing we ask for is 15 day’s notice!

What happens after the trial?

That’s totally up to you. If you decide to stay we’ll roll your trial onto the monthly membership of your choice. If you decide that Inclusive Rackets isn’t for you, you can cancel your membership at any point during the trial and say goodbye. We’ll be sorry to see you go, but we accept that we can’t be all things to all people.

Do I or my child have to be good at tennis to join?

No! We have members of all ability levels. Some have just started their tennis journey a few weeks ago, while others have been playing for decades. When you join we will recommend the best sessions for your level of ability, so that you get the adequate level of challenge and can progress at the right pace.

What are the ongoing costs?

Prices range from £25 -£35 per month depending on the session. A club membership may also be required at some venues.

What do I need to bring / wear?

All equipment is provided but if you have your own racket, feel free to bring it. If you would like advice on buying a racket – please just let us know! Sportswear and trainers will be needed for the session and a bottle of water is recommended. In the colder months, we would certainly advise waterproofs and gloves!
